Not a bad replacementIt not so difficult to install as some review says. It is obviously thinner than the original ones. I didn't compare the sound quality with the original pad. However, it is much cheaper than the original ones. Not a bad replacement.4They Fit and ComfortEven though they're a pain to get on there (even with the accompanying tool) they have yet to stretch out and come off here in a few months. Smooth and comfortable, good replacement pads at price.5Cheaper and Better than the authentic earpad, if you are willing to do some workUPDATED:I tried my best to cut the extra parts to a width close to the authentic pad, and it actually fits very firmly...with the authentic one I had issues with it keep falling off easily, but not this one. So as long as you are willing to do some DIY work, this one is probably better than the authentic ear pads.BELOW IS A OLD REVIEWIn the picture, the top one is the ear pad that came with my headphone. The bottom one are the one that I bought (the product being reviewed.) as you can see, the black band for securing the pad on to the headphone is much wider, so wide that there is no way it will fit into the slit on the headphone. I am gonna probably try cut it myself, but most likely, I need to return this and get the Authentic one from SENNHEISER4An Okay BackupFirst of all I want to say that these aren't bad and my review would be higher if they didn't change the sound signature of the headphones. They seem to be made of sturdy enough material and they aren't completely uncomfortable. However, they do affect the sound signature slightly. It seemed to me that they lowered the bass a bit when compared to the Sennheiser official pads. I enjoy a lot of bass heavy music and I like to feel the bass. So, I will keep these as a back up for when I ultimately have to order more Sennheiser pads. The original pads that came with the headphones started flaking and chunking off within days of purchase. The Sennheiser replacement pads I ordered later seem to be holding up, but I used these Geekria's first. If you want less bass then these might work for you.3Fit okay, good quality for $20.The lip is a little big compared to the factory ear pads, but they actually do fit without trimming.And, I should mention that I tried to trim my first pair, trimmed a little too much and they were popping off. I contacted the company and they sent me a new pair, which I did NOT trim, and which are working great. I got the leather-covered versions and theyre an upgrade from the originals - I like them better than the velour of the originals.4Good replacement Earpad part for Senheiser Urbanite XLI bought this ear pad because original ear pad's durability is too low.These ear pads are little bit bigger than original but no problem to use them.Tool is included so, easy to attach them.However, I felt some sound changes after using this ear pad, I am not a sound expert though.Bass power getting weaker like it is being leaked to somewhere and I can feel more space than before.4No problemsJust finished putting these on my Urbanite XL. Install was fairly straight forward. A small plastic tool was included. For install just gently pull the edge of the earpiece over the headphones then use the tool and move around the edge to get the rest of the earpiece over the edge of the headphones.The earpieces do seem to fit a bit looser over my ears when compared to the original earpads but nothing big.4Great replacementI'm usually against purchasing 3rd party replacement parts, but given that the OEM pads cost almost half what I paid for the entire headset and the build quality of the original was pretty poor anyway (pain the the a** to put on, the lining ripped easily, and all the material began to crumble off after a year) I decided to give these a shot at a fraction of the price.I couldn't be happier with my purchase, they actually made some improvements on the original design by making the lining larger so that it won't fall out as easily. The tool they provided made installation a lot easier, and it fits as good as the original. The only downside would be the finishing is nowhere near as smooth as the velour finish of the original, but as mentioned before, that material begins to degrade and crumble off eventually anyway.4Complete garbageOne of the ear pads had been cut by someone very badly so it's unusable and the other's band is too big to fit Sennheiser Urbanites. You're better off getting anything soft and a rubber band instead of wasting your money. This was the most expensive Chinese garbage I've bought on Amazon.1Okay for the price, secure band is too large for tight fitI purchased these on sale so they were about 1/2 the price of the Sennheiser product. I purchased smooth since I don't like how the velvet-like material absorbs moisture. They are secured by a band of rubber that slips into a tiny slot around the headphone. This is not an easy process to accomplish because the band on these are about 3x the size of the Sennheiser originals so you end up with a lot of rubber exposed making the pads not flush against the speakers. And because the rubber is so thick, it is incredibly difficult to finesse it into the channel since you have to stretch is so much to get it in, other parts will slide right out. I probably spent 1/2 hour on each ear pad getting them into a usable configuration.If Sennheiser made a 'smooth' replacement pad, I'd pay the extra money for those; but these will do and hopefully won't flake apart in less than a year.Others have mentioned noticing a loss of bass; but I fiddled with the new pads (mostly by literally turning them once installed) and got them to seat well enough that sound fidelity doesn't seem to be affected.4
