I at first was not sure if I would need this because the crane works well without it. I got it because I knew when I added the full camera... LCD, weights and any audio gear hooked into it that it may remain stable. It is subtle but there is a difference. Having everything tight prevents the crane from adding a little extra movement. If you were buying the crane/own the crane there's no reason not to buy this. 5One StarI thought I was getting the whole thing (the crane), is just a cable.I cant read. 1Is good only for that kind of cameraYou can't use it with a RED Camera.
