Installation was easy. BE SURE TO LOCATE THE STUDS IN YOUR ... I was really, REALLY hesitant about cutting into my wall to install these, but man oh man, after everything was finished and the cords/cables were all hidden, I'd do it again in a second. Installation was easy. BE SURE TO LOCATE THE STUDS IN YOUR WALL FIRST!! The instructions include a template that you cut out and use to trace onto your wall. Then, use a drywall saw or a sharp utility knife to carefully cut out a small rectangular piece where the plate will mount. Insert the product into the hole you just cut, and gently snug the screws. NO NEED FOR A JUNCTION BOX! I used a piece of small twine to fish my cords into the bottom one, up behind the wall, and out the top one. Boom, done. Now all the cords and cables are hidden and the look is 100 times better.Follow the instructions! Take your time! Your results will be perfect too! 5I really hate to see a bunch of cables by my TV ... I really hate to see a bunch of cables by my TV and this thing's are simple to set up and will make your living room look better 5Love it! Looks so much better now with no cords showing. I used this in my two year olds room. It s so easy to set up. The instructions have a little paper template you cut out and trace on the wall so you know the size to cut. The product fits perfectly. I love not seeing the cords hanging from the tv. The upper part is behind the tv so you can not see it looking at the wall and we placed the bottom part to the side of our wall outlet directly below the upper insert. I have prime so I got this in two days. I just ordered more for our other rooms in the house (3 other bedrooms). 5Hiding electrical cords My husband bought these easy cable mounts and they work really slick. Not much to them, and they were really inexpensive, but they did the job. We just remodeled our bed room and my husband mounted our TV on the wall just beyond the foot of the bed. He cut a hole in the wall, dropped the cables thru the plastic hole, and them put the other plastic mount on the bottom of the wall by the wall electric plug. Wa-la no plugs showing at all, very cool. Makes the room look much cleaner and nicer.Datacomm 50-3338-WH-KIT Easy Mount Cable Organizer Kit - White 5Easy breezy Works perfectly. I have made several orders for both my house and my mother in laws house. It s easy to install and includes a template so you can t really mess it up. All you need is a drywall saw and maybe something to feed the lines with if you are going through insolation. A stud finder would also be helpful if you are nervous about cutting holes in your wall. The hole doesn t have to be perfect so don t spend all day measeruing it out and tracing the box. Just put the paper on the wall and poke a tiny hole in each corner and then use the drywall saw to so the rest.I would def recommend 550-3338-WH-KIT Easy Mount Cable Organizer Kit - White +1 - Item arrive on time, and not damaged+1 - Item is as described+2 - Includes a cut out template, and is easy to install-1 - CostThoughts: I really liked the look of this one over others, but other cable management boxes are half the cost of these. I decided to go with them anyway, and have been happy with them. I've installed 4 sets thus far, and they work well with no defects in any of the sets I have ordered to date. Comes with two boxes, a cutout template, and instructions. If you don't like the look of the "brush" or "star" ones, these work great. Just be prepared to spend a little bit more money than you would for those. 4Great little solution Easy to use, great product. A paper stencil is included to help make sure the rectangle is cut out properly. Once you have the hole in the wall cut out, insert the top piece and screw it in place by hand. Each screw has a plastic tab on the back that when screwed in, the tab pops out and presses against the inside of the drywall to hole it in place. These tabs aren't super strong, but strong enough to hold it in place. If you use a powered drill you will likely snap the plastic piece off from too much pressure. Use a screw driver and manually screw in each side until it is snug.Mount of top piece first, run all your cables through the wall. Do not mount of the bottom piece yet because you won't be able to get the cables out. Fish your cables out of the bottom hole. Highly recommend using a numbering system, tape, colored tape, etc. to make sure you know which cable is which if you're running similar cables through. I ran 4 HDMI cables though and numbered each end so I knew what I was connecting.Once you have the cables fished out of the bottom hole - you should be able to fit your hand and forearm through the hole, or use something else to snag the cables and pull throgh - slide the cables through the bottom piece, install into the hole in the wall and gently tighen it down. The white matches the standard white wall plates commonly used. From what I read and recall from the directions, specific heigh measures are not provided if you wanted to try line up the inserts with other wall mounts. Doing some basic measuring will get you the info you need to make sure its line up afterwards. Likely won't be an issue since these will probably be hidden from view, but later on it would look nice if you were selling your house or had to change your layout and these are exposed.Overall this was the perfect affordable solution I was looking for and simple. With your own creativity you could seal the plastic openings where the cables come through. 5A simple solution The price for this was easy to justify. Any trip to the home improvement store will inevitably cost far more than the price of this product. It is a simple solution to a problem encountered with wall mounting your flat screen television. Installation was fairly simple. I am comfortable working with electricity and my existing outlet was already in between the studs I was mounting the television to, so I just wired another outlet directly above it. I would agree with the other reviews that it is easiest to hang your mounting bracket first and then do the install. I have four HDMI cables and a set of composite cables running through this with no problem It is a nice finished look. I suspect that even if you had to pay an electrician to run an outlet you would still save a significant amount of money versus paying for installation from the retailer that the tv was purchased from. Also if you are reading this review you are thinking of wall mounting your tv. A couple of things to think about... You will need longer cables. Also if your tv has side mounted HDMI ports, consider cables with a swivel end as some cables will stick out the side and that ruins the finished look. 4MISLEADING PHOTOS -- CANNOT USE TO HIDE POWER CORD If you read carefully, you'll note that this set of two pieces of plastic is not suitable for hiding power cords. It is against code to do so. The vendor photo and photos published by a purchaser show everything hidden. I didn't read the fine print, ordered this product, realized when I got it by reading the box it came in that I couldn't use it for power cords, that it was useless for me, and tried to return it. Amazon will not accept returns of this product. I wasted my money on a poorly described product that could not be returned. 1Worth the buy! I was hesitant at first stop cut holes in my wall. I mean I had just painted it! After hanging a tv for the first time I was determined to hide the cords hanging down. I tried the wall covers that stick to the wall and those kept falling down.Purchased this item and it was delivered on time. Simple packaging and instructions. The template seems to be a tad bit off as I had to shave a little off each side to get the box to slide in, but the plate covers the edges nicely so your line doesn t have to be straight :). I was done in 20 mins.Just make note of how long your cords are when deciding hole placement 5
